Kiruna, Swedish LaplandJVT (Jukkasjärvi Vildmarksturer) has been running wilderness experiences from Kiruna, in Swedish Lapland, since 2000. Their in-depth week-long survival course is the far end of the syllabus: a week in the boreal forest working the full skill set that the shorter courses only sample.
Kiruna sits inside the Arctic Circle, and both the light and the temperature are different from what southern Sweden or the UK offers. The course reflects that. Fire, shelter and water fundamentals apply, but the northern context reframes what "fundamental" actually costs.
