Backcountry pack trips & camp skills in Montana

Cody and LeRee Hensen have run Royal Tine Guide School since 1994 in Montana. The school is endorsed by the Montana Board of Outfitters, and the operation is now in its third decade of continuous work.

The core offering is a two-week outdoor cooking school and a three-day Dutch oven course, alongside packing classes covering horse and mule packing instruction. When the school is not in session, Cody and LeRee offer custom back-country wilderness horseback trail riding adventures, custom pack trips and photo safaris. Fly fishing lessons run separately.
