Brecon Beacons (Bannau Brycheiniog)

Graham Glue has been leading foraging walks for 16 years. Sleeping Giant Foraging runs from Coelbren, in the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) of South Wales.

Walks focus on identifying edible plants, gourmet mushrooms and medicinal herbs, with emphasis on safe foraging practices and knowledge of local flora and fauna. Graham holds walk-leader qualifications and volunteers with Western Beacons Mountain Rescue.

Groups are capped at ten people. Walks are scheduled throughout the year, so what's foraged shifts with the season rather than the diary. Style is informal and accessible: aimed at educating people of all ages about the wild food that Wales offers, rather than converting them into industrial-grade foragers overnight.

Private bookings for groups, clubs and businesses are available alongside the scheduled walks.
