Bushcraft & wilderness skills courses

Steven and Hannah Knight co-founded Wilderness Folk School, based in Aberfeldy, Scotland. The school teaches how to live in nature and with nature, with emphasis that connection develops through participation rather than observation.

The bushcraft strand covers three formats. One-day Bushcraft is a short introductory session. Bush Roots is a weekend immersion. Tracks and Signs Courses train animal tracking and wilderness reading skills.

All three sit under the same stated ethos: safety, comfort and harmony outdoors. The bushcraft strand runs alongside their traditional craft courses (green oak timber framing, canoe building, paddle making, basketry, hidework) and their wilderness expeditions.
